WANTED - YOUNG CARERS NAVIGATOR

4 days per week, £31k-£33k pro rata, Deadline 12pm Wednesday 27 July

THE PROGRAMME

For this new role we’re searching for a dynamic and innovative project leader who is skilled in supporting marginalised young people and who is able to forge a new approach to meeting their needs. Support for young people with caring responsibilities in Westminster is varied, therefore Westminster City Council and Young Westminster Foundation are working with DreamArts to help join up services. The Young Carers Navigator role will map pathways of support, build awareness among professionals so they can identify and meet the needs of young carers, lead DreamArts Carers Express where a community of young carers creatively express themselves, and seek innovative approaches to supporting young people with caring responsibilities.

The role includes training and development in therapeutic approaches applied within DreamArts including the PACE attachment model, and you will receive regular reflection spaces with our Therapeutic Consultant to process your work and ‘therapeutic lens’ sessions exploring approaches for supporting the wellbeing needs of young people in your planning, delivery and evaluation.

In in last year’s staff satisfaction survey 100% of team members felt inspired at DreamArts to do their best at their job, and 100% said that their voice and skills matter at DreamArts.

THE PROGRAMME

City Lions is Westminster City Council’s award-winning programme created in 2018. City Lions focuses on connecting marginalised young people aged 13-16 with the cultural riches on their doorstep so they can create, connect and achieve personal, social and economic wellbeing. City Lions is delivered by Westminster City Council working in partnership with internal and external partners to create the best possible opportunities for young people. The post of Creative Curator is employed by DreamArts who are a core partner of City Lions, helping design the programme and contributing to aspects of its delivery.

We’re searching for a dynamic Creative Curator who is passionate about engaging young from marginalised communities, able to inspire and support transferable skills through the arts, can develop innovative and flexible needs-led models of best practice and can forge strong partnerships with schools and youth providers alongside creative and cultural organisations.

JOIN THE AWARD-WINNING DREAMARTS EXPERIMENT TEAM!

WANTED - EXPERIMENT facilitators in Movement, 2 x Youth Theatre Directors, and a Vocal Facilitator. Deadline 12pm Monday 18 July

THE PROGRAMME

DreamArts fuses arts and therapeutic practice to support wellbeing. Our acclaimed EXPERIMENT Programme engages 7-19-year-olds to explore and unleash their talents, try things out, express themselves and grow their skills. EXPERIMENT engages young people living in areas with some of the highest levels of child poverty in the UK. Participants take control and create their own original work, from musicals to short films, collaborating with leading facilitators and companies such as Les Enfants Terribles.

EXPERIMENT takes place on a Saturday in South Westminster and on Sundays in North Westminster plus some special projects during school holidays; no other equivalent affordable programme exists in Westminster, the heart of UK Theatreland.

We are looking for facilitators able to inspire and support young people to devise their own work, that are passionate about engaging participants from marginalised communities, and are committed to support wellbeing through the arts. As a member of the DreamArts family you will access professional practice development including how to apply therapeutic approaches within your planning and delivery.
