WANTED - Experiment Project Producer

A Project Producer specialising in leading work with children and young people is needed to join DreamArts, an award-winning outreach charity in Westminster.

DreamArts fuses arts and therapy to enable young people to realise their potential. You will lead the acclaimed EXPERIMENT programme, bringing creativity to children and young people living in areas with some of the highest levels of child poverty in the UK. On Saturdays in South Westminster and Sundays in Church Street 7-19 year olds explore and unleash their talents, try things out, express themselves and grow their skills. You will lead a team of skilled professionals to empower members to devise their own work, from new musicals to short films, collaborating with leading companies such as Les Enfants Terribles. No other equivalent affordable arts programme exists in Westminster, the heart of UK Theatre land.

Salary: £27,000 - 28,000 pro rata + pension benefits

Hours: 3 days per week from October 2021.

This includes 18 Saturdays and Sundays whilst the Experiment Weekend Company is in term-time between October – March. During projects such as the Gala in March, the Summer Half Term Project and the Summer Holiday Project, it is likely you may need to work extra days, particularly during the approach to the Gala in March.

A performing arts practitioner specialising in creating work with children and young people is needed to join DreamArts' Performance Company, our 13 - 19 age group.

DreamArts fuses arts and therapy to enable young people to realise their potential. You will lead the acclaimed EXPERIMENT Performance Company, working with young people aged 13 - 19 living in areas with some of the highest levels of child poverty in the UK. On Sundays from 1 - 5pm at City of Westminster College, Performance Company members explore and unleash their talents, try things out, express themselves and grow their skills. Through direction, facilitation and collaboration, you will empower members to devise their own work, collaborating with leading companies such as Les Enfants Terribles. No other equivalent affordable arts programme exists in Westminster, the heart of UK Theatre land.

Salary: £28 p/h

Hours: Sunday afternoons 1pm - 5pm October - December 2021, January - March 2022.

DreamArts fuses arts and therapy to enable young people to realise their potential. You will support young people aged 13 - 19 living in areas with some of the highest levels of child poverty in the UK. On Sundays from 1 - 5pm at City of Westminster College, Performance Company members explore and unleash their talents, try things out, express themselves and grow their skills. You will be primarily responsible for the pastoral wellbeing of the members, and be able to assist the Performance Company Director in enabling the participants to explore many different aspects of theatrical creativity. The focus of the role includes; Helping those with particular needs, undertaking small-group or 1-on-1 support as necessary, noting any particular issues or support needs, making appropriate interventions and reporting them during debriefs and assisting the Performance Company director with any creative or performative tasks.

Salary: £13 p/h

WANTED - Experiment Saturday Smalls Support Practitioner

A performing arts support practitioner specialising in supporting children and young people is needed to join DreamArts' Experiment Saturday Smalls, our 7 - 9 age group.

DreamArts fuses arts and therapy to enable young people to realise their potential. You will support young people aged 7 - 9 living in areas with some of the highest levels of child poverty in the UK. On Saturdays from 10am - 1.45pm at The Abbey Centre, Experiment members explore and unleash their talents, try things out, express themselves and grow their skills. You will be primarily responsible for the pastoral wellbeing of the members, and be able to assist the Acting, Singing and Dance Facilitators in enabling the participants to explore many different aspects of theatrical creativity. The focus of the role includes; Helping those with particular needs, undertaking small-group or 1-on-1 support as necessary, noting any particular issues or support needs, making appropriate interventions and reporting them during debriefs and assisting the facilitators with any creative or performative tasks.

Salary: £13 p/h

Hours: Saturday mornings 10am - 1.45pm October - December 2021, January - March 2022.
(During projects such as the Gala in March, the Summer Half Term Project and the Summer Holiday Project, it is likely you may need to work extra days, particularly during the approach to the Gala in March.)
